Apropriate Development

Where development professionals share their expertise
This is a place to exchange stories, lessons learned, theories, and basic information about development work both in more developed countries and less developed countries. We celebrate the accomplishments others are making, recognize the difficulties we face, and always offer solutions and share ideas to make our own projects even better.

Welcome!

Welcome! I hope to use this blog as a place to share ideas, discuss theories, and exchange stories on development. And no, although I am in the field as a grant writer, I don’t mean development as fundraising, although it may tie in at times. This is a place for discussion about projects being done throughout the world in an effort to develop a person, their community, their country, or their sphere of the world. All projects in development can offer others guidance, even if they have failed, and therefore I will share stories, and I would like to hear your stories of the projects you have worked on or heard about, and why they worked so well. And if they didn’t work, if they were deemed “failed,” why they didn’t work, and what you think would have made them better. Let’s share and learn from each other and make this world a better place while we do so.
